NIKKI + ROB :: HISTORIC SEVEN SYCAMORES RANCH

How has it already been a year since these two tied the knot?! I guess that speaks to the speed at which time passes AND my terrible blogging habits!

Nikki and Rob's wedding day was so perfectly suited for two small town lovers--set at a historic ranch property among citrus orchards and country roads, we combined casual comforts with elevated and feminine details for a perfectly non-rustic style in a rustic setting. From the juicy color palette to the playful details, this one will be a forever favorite!

I'll say this about early May in California--it's beautiful beyond words and also you'd better HAVE A RAIN PLAN! Five out of the past seven years, I've had rain looming in the forecast during the weekend of May 6-10. Sometimes, the rain relinquishes on Friday night, giving way to a perfect sky on Saturday (that was 2 years ago). Sometimes, it holds off until the bride and groom hop in the limo to depart before the drops begin to fall (that was this year) and sometimes, just after the guests have all settled in for dinner inside the wood and glass walls of a beautiful barn, the sky cracks open and the showers begin. That was last year with Nikki and Rob! I can honestly say, I've never had a more beautiful back up plan than the barn at Historic Seven Sycamores Ranch.

Are you guys getting that gorgeous natural light?! So amazing.

Y'all know I love to mix my table shapes and textiles and this wedding was no exception! We had long tables in crisp white linen and a yummy berry runner, while round tables in champagne gold sequin linens added some glam to the space. Insert sweet homemade favors, mixed vintage and gold glassware and it's kind of like all my favorite things.

I know people say things like "the clouds parted just in time..." and it might make you roll your eyes, but sometimes, it's just TRUE! In this case, the rain subsided and Emily from Anna Delores Photography was able to take Nikki and Rob out into the orchards for some beautiful sunset photos with a gloomy sky.
